Weekends at Bellevue: Nine Years on the Night Shift at the Psych E.R.

I really didn’t know what to expect from this book. Psychiatry and psychiatric illness isn’t my bag, but when the price is right, I’m there.

The best way to describe this book on the surface it’s about a woman as she takes care of the patients on the weekend shift at Bellevue where as, in reality it is more about the author and the patients are kinda secondary.

I found this a compelling book to read; the book didn’t drag but I would have been more interested in the patients and their illnesses.

I know this isn’t much of a review but it comes down to this: if you want to read about doctors being dicks, then this book is for you; if you want to read about psychiatric patients and treatments, look somewhere else.
