Fragile: Beauty in Chaos, Grace in Tragedy, and Hope that Lives In Between
Shannon Sovndal
Dr. Shannon Sovndal explains in his book that he has ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) and the book as it is presented feels like a book on ADHD.
The book is disjointed and isn’t presented in a lineal timeline with the author jumping his story here, there, and everywhere while musing on the mystery of life. I found myself wanting to skip through some of his musings and concentrate on the descriptions of him working in the Emergency Department.
I’m not sure I can recommend this book though some of the stories of him going to the Air Force Academy, then university, then working on an air ambulance helicopter to working as an Emergency Department physician along with his marriages and divorce.
I’m not sure if I would recommend this book but if you can manage to follow the various threads as the author bounces between them, then you’ll enjoy Fragile: Beauty in Chaos, Grace in Tragedy, and Hope that Lives In Between. But honestly, there are other better written books covering a lot of the same subjects that aren’t as frustrating as this one.
